Active van conversions are becoming more and more popular due to the practicality and functionality of these vehicles.

Often a lot cheaper than full campers, they are the way forward for many and what some commonly call a day van.

Active vans are great for people who use their van as their daily drive/workhorse, but also as their get-away vehicle for the weekend or holidays abroad.

We quite often have customers who come in with the mindset that they want a camper van; however, after some in-depth discussions of how they want to use their vehicle, we often find that an ‘active van’ is more suited to their needs, budget and requirements.

Described by many as a day van, the active van is a vehicle converted with many of the features of a full camper but without the fitted furniture and built in kitchen facilities. 

These vehicles normally get the best results when starting life as a factory built Kombi. However, this sort of conversion could be performed to a Panel Van, Shuttle or Caravelle too.

This sort of conversion keeps large amounts of open storage space and maximises flexibility within the van. Making this the ideal vehicle for those who carry a lot of equipment for outdoor activities, families wanting a large vehicle for daily tasks and also for camping, and individuals needing a large load space during the week for work and the ability to camp at the weekends and holidays.
